HOW TO BOOK ONLINE

  1. From the booking calendar select the date of your visit. Todays sessions will show up first but you can zip through to a future date using the blue calendar icon at the top of the schedule.
  2. Select the session time that you would like to visit. Read through the details of the session you are about to book, paying close attention to new Covid19 updates. Below this information you will see available ticket options.
  3. Select the Initial Skatepark Entry ticket at £7. Add additional initial entries as required up to a max of 6 people per booking. Add any helmet or equipment hire required for each user. These tickets are now in your basket for checkout. ADD HOURS: These are discounted additional hours of Park time at £3.To add additional Park time, after selecting your initial entry ticket, scroll back up to the session calendar. Select the next hour session time and add a Add Hour ticket to your basket for £3. E.g You would like to skate from 12pm to 3pm, add initial session ticket at 12pm, scroll back up to the calendar and click 1pm session, select an add hour ticket. Repeat in the 2pm session if you are staying for 3 hours, remember to add any equipment hire for these extra hours also if required.
  4. Click the shopping basket icon at the top right of your screen to begin checkout. Ensure you are happy with your selections on this page and click Book Now.
  5. Add your booking details and accept our Participant disclaimer and Covid19 policy as requested.
  6. Check out securely via Paypal. There is no need to have a Paypal account you can checkout as a guest. If booking via mobile phone you may need to switch to using a PC/other device.
  7. You will receive a booking confirmation email. When you arrive for your session please quote the name of the Lead Booker or your show your booking confirmation.

Who can use the park?

Our park is open to any person over the age of 5 years old.

To use the park facilities you must first complete a Consent Form.

 

When is the best time for beginners?

Every Saturday, Sunday and throughout any school holidays we have an Under 13’s Session from 10am-Noon, You can join this session at 10am or 11am. The session is restricted for those under 13 years old to allow younger park users an opportunity to practice without the grown ups!

We recommend absolute beginners join one of our lessons which are available every Saturday and Sunday. These lessons are perfect for getting started out and will guide you through the rules and basics for using a skatepark.

What Equipment Can I Use In The Park ?

Transgression Park is designed and built for Skateboards,Inline Skates,BMX Bikes,Jump Bikes,Quad Skates and Stunt Scooters.

We do not permit the use of 3 Wheeled Scooters,Toy Scooters,Toy Skateboards, Pogo Sticks, Folding Scooters, Electric Scooters, Electric Bikes, Any Petrol or Diesel powered vehicles.

If you are in doubt as to whether your equipment is suitable for use within the park our staff will happily advise.

 

Can I just turn up and use the park?

All of our “Open Sessions” run every hour on the hour and are open to anyone.

If you have never visited the park before you will need to complete our consent form, This must be completed by yourself if you are over 16 years old or by a parent/legal guardian if you are under 16 years old. When are you open?

During Edinburgh school Term Time the park is open from Noon-10pm Weekdays.

During Edinburgh school Holiday Term the park is open from 10am-10pm Weekdays.

Every Saturday we are open 10am-10pm and Sundays 10am-6pm.

Do I need to wear protective equipment in the park?

If you are under 16 years old then you must wear a Helmet at all times whilst in the park. Persons over 16 are able to opt out of use of protective equipment by completing the disclaimer at the foot of our Consent Form.

Can I hire safety equipment at the park?

We have a range of helmets available to hire for £1 per visit.

Please note that safety equipment availability can be limited during busy sessions and we recommend you pre book equipment in advance of your visit by phoning the park on 0131 629 1831.

Can I hire equipment at the park?

Yes, We have a range of skateboards,scooters and bmx bikes available to hire. Multipass users get up to 25% off these prices. Lessons

If you are new to skateparks then we highly recommend you take a lesson with one of our skilled instructors.

They will get you started with all the basics for safe use of the park and your equipment.

Do you have food or drink facilities?

We provide a small selection of hot and cold drinks from vending machines throughout our facility.

Ocean Terminal has a wide range of facilities open 7 days a week, Please visit their website for a list of restaurants and food vendors: http://oceanterminal.com/dining/

We do insist that no food or drink be taken into the skatepark arena for any reason. This is to ensure the park is clean and safe for use.

What clothing should I wear?

You are permitted to wear any clothing you feel safe and comfortable in whilst practicing your sport. We do however recommend wearing clothing which will protect you from friction burns/splinters/tears to clothing such as jeans and a hoody or sweater. Clothing such as leggings/jogger bottoms/tights are not suitable and may result in damage to your clothing or person.

Can I spectate from inside the park?

The only time spectators are permitted in the park is during events which are marshalled. During normal sessions we do not permit any spectators or pedestrians inside the park arena for any reason. If your child requires parental supervision within the park we recommend attending lessons or joining the session as a participant.
